Organism's Niche
The red panda spends most of it's time in the branches. Its ecosystem is the slopes of the southern Himalayas. It eats bamboo, berries, flowers, and occasionally eggs and insects which all go before the red panda on a food web. Bamboo makes up the bulk of its diet which gives him lots of energy as bamboo is a producer and is located at the bottom of an energy pyramid. But because red pandas can't fully digest bamboo fiber, it spends most of its day foraging for food to get its necessary nutrients. The red panda competes for food with the rest of the organisms in its biomass.
